Assessment mapping
Aligning learning objectives, topics and activities
This curriculum map was developed in Miro for a new tertiary course delivery, structured into eight weekly modules with a two-week mid-term break. It was designed to visualise and organise content, ensuring learning objectives align with topics, activities, and assessments. A recently developed learning design model ADGIE was used in this iteration since AI was used for content curation.
A colour-coded legend highlights constructive alignment with LO, while two learner personas, drawn from a related qualification, were used to represent the cohort and to anticipate additional learning needs.
The mapping was based on Bloom’s taxonomy framework that enabled a clear progression pathway for learners. The design of course assets were targeted to engaging learning experiences that meet diverse learner needs.
